At home, you can still stay in touch with family and friends or even re-connect with old friends. Remember when telephones were used for talking? Enjoy a long phone call with friends or family, or even try FaceTiming them, other options could be via Skype or Zoom. All those tools give you the opportunity to connect and/or see one or multiple people whilst talking with them. Why not try getting all of your friends or family to join a call once a day or take your time for people individually and spread your calls over the whole day. Send an email to work colleagues and check up with them, ask them how they are managing work at home.
Use social media in a positive way to engage in thoughtful discussions about your favourite books, movies and other hobbies and interests. Via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and YouTube you can keep yourself occupied and entertained, follow your family and friends and see what they are up too, or create some of your own content to help people whilst in self-isolation.
