#TakeYourSeat for the Homeless World Cup Day on the 5th of July
On the 5th of July, ‘Supporter of Each Other’ Homeless World Cup Foundation will host the virtual Homeless World Cup Day. It is an event created to support people who are homeless but also to change perceptions and attitudes towards them.
Since 2003 the Homeless World Cup Tournament has been a powerful platform to raise awareness on the delicate subject of homelessness. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, this year the Homeless World Cup Tournament had to be canceled. Therefore, the organisation lost the stage on which they showcase the power of football to inspire and change lives.
The physical event might not take place, but you can still #TakeYourSeat in the virtual stadium for the Homeless World Cup Day (July 5th), which will give you access to engaging and exciting content.
The Foundation recently released the programme of the day, which includes fantastic football, fun banter between their guest pundits, and heart-warming stories from across the network.
