Supporter of Each Other encourages clubs to use Wash Your Lyrics
Several health organisations have recommended as a guideline to hum the ‘Happy Birthday’ song from the beginning to the end twice when washing your hands. This should last for at least 20 seconds whilst using soap and water, as washing your hands correctly is one of the best ways to prevent you and your community from getting sick and to protect against infection.
William Gibson, decided that he was tired of singing just ‘Happy Birthday’ when washing his hands, so, he created “Wash Your Lyrics,” which uses a National Health Service infographic to display hand-washing techniques alongside, the lyrics of your favourite songs, you can even create your own lyrics!
We encourage all clubs and organisations to pick a song and share it on your social channels to spread the message and importance of washing your hands to stop the spread of COVID-19! Here are some club song examples we’ve put together:
Liverpool Football Club- ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’
Inter- ‘Pazza Inter’
Sporting Clube de Portugal- ‘O mundo sabe que’
There have been some great examples of clubs encouraging their fans and the community to wash their hands. Take a look at the following examples for some ideas:
